New Bucks Official Thread
Re: New Bucks Official Thread
in addition to managing the subsidiaries of the BoWI, i have also built most of the installations for the armed forces and police/guard precincts and therefore know how to effectively maintain the buildings already present, also (believe it or not) i am willing to incorporate useful suggestions and delegate roles within the BoWI to help manage it if need be.
I would also say that MrJKapowey would make an excellent bureaucrat and support him in his claim, but, you do need to work on your temper!...... As you do tend to get worked up over things that people (mostly Riff at the sec) do.

Re: New Bucks Official Thread
I propose that in order to give all of the Town founders a job, we split the Bureaucracy into a commerce department and a bureaucracy and diplomacy one (i.e evictions, Corinth relations outside of other depts., citizen registry etc...) This keeps all founders happy. Furthermore, I think that the positions should be as follows:
MrJKapowey: Bureaucracy (as he is good at keeping his cool and getting organised with boring stuff like Citizen registry when no-one else can be bothered
. It's also the job he wanted. )
TyreseEngineer: Civil Engineering and Maintenance ( I do it already, and it suits my name. I'm also already overseeing some projects like the Beorn-Tulonville-New Bucks train line with the people from Corinth)
Riffraff1: Commerce (He does appear to be good at getting good deals, he is good at building commerce-y buildings and it is the job he wanted.)
Osiriss2: Military (His previous job, which he seemed to enjoy and wants again, on the provision that we don't get loads of unnecesary watchtowers popping up everywhere
)
This way everyone is satisfied, and we have successfully condensed the jobs down.

Okay fine, I agree but upon my return I will solely be constructing the town walls and redo-ing the town district boundaries. Tyrese, could you remove the old train line and stations as I will be making alterations.

By which you mean the rubbishy inter-town over-ground train line? Sure, but I'm off to Cornwall within half an hour, back on Wednesday. This obviously means I can't work on it till then.

Just to let you know, Deephaven will most likely be moving t'up North Fyra. Once I've got the gold and sorted out the cuboid. Some of your coastal seabed (underwater) may go, as houses are built into it. They don't go that far though, so it shouldn't interfere above sea level. I will sort out the bridge when/if it's done.
EDIT: Cuboid dimensions are worked out, shouldn't cause any problems when moved. Trading for 8 gold blocks (donations are welcome)

Here's a map of the new area, with a (paint) artist's impression of the town.
EDIT: Xgames360, your boat may get left behind, so collect the resources from it before we move (will have a date soon)

Okay, given my position I'll get right on with the town thing for Corinth (see their post) and I guess I'm the rep from NB.

Oh, could I ask who has built the gate, glass, Corinth C, incorrect sign and other bits at the Bucks/Tulon highway gate house?

Oh, one final thing:
How much did you donate to l'hopital? Please post as you've got until the end of the holidays to post before I convert it all into ingots and it's shared out equally between founders. I believe Robipod donated (collected), Tyrese, Osiris and Riff donated.

I did the Corinth sign, will discuss tomorrow as knackered from travelling back from Cornwall at the moment. Can't remember what I donated, so redistribute others first. Also off again from sat for 8 days but will try to deal with the backlog of stuff. Edit: gatehouse, I just did a glass sculpture thing.

Yeah, tomoz could you prepare for it to be removed. I'm doing the walls around the outside of the town so this gate wouldn't fit in.

Re: New Bucks Official Thread
Surely walls would be either mine or Osiriss' job? In any case, can we work this gate design in? I'm rather fond of it, although the road annoys me by being one block too wide for symmetry
Edit: Old inter-town train line has been removed. Not sure what to do with the station remnant in the Capital, but the tracks are gone and the other station is gone. I've left the raised pedestal part of the capital station in case someone wants to use it for something.

Okay. By the way, would you like me to put more plots in in the area that was previously obstructed by the inter-town railway? Having taken it down I realise that there is actually a fair bit of space we could use there.

If you want to. Could you keep the sandy bit clear as I was thinking we could put Embassies there from some of the near by towns.

Per plot? That's huge. Since I wasn't sure what to do about this, I put some more housing plots behind the road- don't worry, the sand area is safe. Riff would like to use the sandy area for a grandiose town hall, and has had this area marked out for a while, was just waiting for the chance to tell you. I thought I'd better bring it up.

Re: New Bucks Official Thread
I'm going to change the tube station (above ground at least) to the same style of the Tulonville and Beorn stations. Walk along the inter-town highway to see what it looks like, it's at the corner of Tulon's landclaim. I'll probably connect a platform to the chamber of commerce line as well, then extend that to Grimlands like I've been saying I would.
This might overlap slightly with one of the plots next to it, but since I've put a few more in it shouldn't matter

Above-ground conversion complete, creating a new platform which will replace the line to the chamber of commerce from St Pirans.
Edit: Done, Accessible from Highway station

Re: New Bucks Official Thread
I will have to do (next week when I'm back from mah Dad's):
1 - Re-do the walls/boundaries. Inter-district boundaries have fence whilst the exterior ones have a wall.
2 - Find a place for the HvZ minibus (jokes) to wait on the 10th for people to turn up at. Sorry, unrelated to MC.
3 - ...
4 - PROFIT!
People, please, two requests -
Riffraff, do you want a wall around your museum?
EVERYONE, if you are inclined towards donations of coal, S. stone or S. stone slabs please leave it in a chest on my boat's deck, Msg me the password and which chest it is.
Thanks!

Just a quick note, while I appreciate the notions behind helping me dig train lines, when I haven't told you where they actually need to go, don't worry about it.
Re: New Bucks Official Thread
I've hooked up the Tulonville tracks to the New Bucks station.
