The Grand Vault Network.

Post by vallorn » 21 Mar 2011, 14:39

with Aflycon having taken over Vault 88 i am now pleased to introduce this next project of mine.

The network will consist of Vault's whose entrances can be stationed within population centers. this will allow the populations a safe haven in case of Griefers, Mob rampages, Drunkadder Incidents and maybe even the dreaded *INTERFACE CORRUPTION FILE NOT FOUND*

Application process:
Spoiler! :
to gain a Vault simply put the name of your settlement and the coordinates for me to put the entrance at in the thread.

as well as this you can request a hidden entrance or a normal non hidden one. you may also ask for a "Deluxe Vault" which has better aesthetics, improved facilities but will take me far longer to build.

please also ask for a name or number for your Vault or i will just give it a Greek letter (eg. Tau, Pi, Chi, Epsilon)
Vault description:
Spoiler! :
the Vault contains an entrance which is one of a variety of possible lifts including [lift] signs, Waterlifts, Stairs, Ladders and Non Drowning Waterlifts (en-quire to me about these).

from this entrance are 4 passageways, one in each of the 4 sides. these lead to:
The Farms (Tree, Cactus, Wheat, Sugarcane maybe Cobble), the Mines and Forge, Resident Housing and Mine Cart Station and The Overseers Housing.

the Deluxe version differs from the main Vault by having:
a special site for Dimensional Gates, a special last resort bunker made from solid obsidian a small Mob Trap system, a Friendly Mob Farm and extra exits/entrances to and from the surface.
Post construction:
Spoiler! :
after construction of your Vault is complete I will hand you over part ownership rights. these also entail you the position of Head Overseer of your Vault which you may grant to another member of your settlement. it is advised that you grant several residents Overseer positions within the vault to allow smooth running of the systems.
Help with the project:
Spoiler! :
this is a near impossible task for any one person to undertake. therefore i will need all the help i can get as well as Donations of materials to help me get the network operational.

if you want to help please state a specialty as this will allow me to give you jobs that suit your skills. (eg. farm building, mob trap construction, high architecture)

i will also install a Donation chest in the Dance Floor for people to donate any spare materials to the project.
Thank you for reading this.

I'm fairly certain that there's a massive network of tunnels under Corinth already, so, no.

Branchscape could use a vault... If you are not adverse to working in our cavern and perhaps expanding it? It has been changed to an entirely underground cavern, you can find the entrance to it to the right of the tree as you are leaving it. It is a tunnel through the mountains.

I am requesting that that be the location, however i would like to have it EXPANDED. My desired end result would be a huge series of caverns, with gigantic supports like stalactites from the ceiling. I was hoping to start on this project after finishing branchscape, but if you would like to start it, i would be glad to have your help!

In addition, it is not a mazzive hole in the ground, it has been covered up and disguised as a hill, as i mentioned in my earlier post. The caverns may extend all the way to bed rock if you like, but i would prefer a rolling effect, perhaps using a series of caverns heading down to a larger cavern at bedrock level. In the end, the walls of the caverns could hold housing, and there could be bridges from wall to wall, as well as pools, trees, and lighting.

i may want to leave this project for afterwards. though its interesting and should work i would like to get some proper Vaults up and running first.

lololololol,
Yes, I was given possession of Vault 88 on the 21st. I would have already started work on renovation but the computer I'm using is incapable of running Minecraft efficiently. I will be able to begin on the 28th. I will probably throw up a thread here for suggestions and applications for residency, if anyone is interested.
