I'm terrible at this game :/ I couldn't beat Snorlax, although he does seem like he has double your health (I was playing blaziken).

Yeah, pokemon designs are horrid now. They should hire some of the Fakemon creators and get them to design he next generation in the series. Also, I always wanted a game like this, but more like Super Smash Bros.
