Oh man, mobs that can lift up blocks and move them around. That's more terrifying than their appearance.

I know! Going to have to design a whole new series of home defense... I'm thinking bridges over a minimum 2 block wide lava channel. Let's hope they have the same spawn rules as other mobs. Can you imagine if they need even more light to stop spawning?

Oh dear... I hope the fire-wall in RSTP keeps these guys out... And... I may have to have similar defenses in my mine as well... >_>
Creepy little buggers..... though, I wonder what they drop when killed.

Kind of reminds me of Pickle Inspector from Problem Sleuth adventure. (An MSPaint comic)

haha... if they are really able to move blocks, imagine digging into the earth at night and then coming back up in the morning realizing your house doesnt exists anymore

Perhaps, since they seem to be some sort of shadow mob, light itself hurts them; even a torch could kill one.
Because I really can't see Notch making it so that a new mob could tear apart everyone's stuff block by block.
I think the creeper isn't going to be happy about competition...

From rumors I've heard, this is what they'll be like (NOTE: only rumors!):
- Will only spawn and move around in darkness. coming into contact with light makes them go insane and attack anything that moves nearby.
- Only move when out of the player's FOV. When you see them, they just stop and stare at you.
- Will take blocks from manmade structures and bring them to their dens, building structures out of them.
- Cannot be damaged by normal weapons--you need to sneak into their dens and steal weapons they make to hurt them.
- When killed, will drop a new type of bones. You can go up to the mob and exchange the bones for something, usually a block it had picked up.
- Small chance to receive a helm that grants night vision from one of these exchanges.
- Completely silent.
